Business Advice from People Who've Never Run Built an Online Business

Ah yes, please tell me more about how business works from your vast experience of... checks notes... watching YouTube videos about scams.

To Everyone Screaming "SCAM!" from Their 9-5:

  • Fascinating business insight from someone whose biggest entrepreneurial risk was calling in sick to work

  • But do go on about how MLMs are a pyramid scheme from inside your corporate pyramid

  • Your LinkedIn says "CEO of my life" but your business experience says "expert at judging other people's hustle"

  • Weird how everyone's a business expert until it's time to actually build one

  • Must be nice critiquing business models from the safety of your biweekly paycheck

  • Amazing how you can spot every business scam except the one where you trade 40 years of your life for a gold watch

  • Please, share more wisdom from your extensive experience of... squints... watching other people build businesses

For the "Get a Real Job" Crowd:

  • You're right - everyone should just trade time for money until they die. That's much less "scammy"

  • Interesting business advice from someone whose idea of risk-taking is ordering something new at Starbucks

  • Tell me you've never run a business without telling me you've never run a business

  • "That's not a real business" - Person who thinks real businesses only exist in office buildings

  • Your fear of trying something new is not evidence of a scam

  • Ah yes, the business expertise of someone who thinks a salary is guaranteed money

  • "That's a pyramid scheme!" - Person perfectly happy at the bottom of their corporate pyramid

To Those Who "Just Want to Warn People":

  • Your concern would be touching if it came with any actual business experience

  • Thanks for the warning! Quick question: Have you ever built anything besides strong opinions?

  • Fascinating how you can spot all these "scams" but can't spot the opportunity to build something yourself

  • "I'm just trying to protect people" - Person who's never had to protect their own business

  • Your anxiety about other people's business models is showing

  • But please, tell me more about how business should work based on your extensive experience of... having opinions

And Finally, For Those Who "Want Success Without the Scams":

  • You want the results without the risk? There's a name for that: It's called a job

  • Weird how everything looks like a scam when you're not willing to do anything different

  • You want guaranteed success? So does everyone else who's never tried to build something

  • "I want to be successful but..." - The battle cry of people who will never start

  • The only guaranteed way to not succeed is to call every opportunity a scam

  • Success without risk isn't success - it's luck. And last I checked, luck isn't hiring

P.S. Feel free to ignore all of this. The view is great from the "I told you so" side of entrepreneurship.

P.P.S. But what do I know? I only actually built something instead of professionally critiquing others from my couch. 😉

P.P.P.S. Developed through conversations with my AI thinking partner - because some topics need a space free from eye-rolls and unsolicited opinions. Need your own safe space to process? That's exactly why I created the Permission to Process Guide.
